About the event
September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and now more than ever, it’s important to know how to respond if someone you know, work with, or care about is in crisis. Suicide affects all communities, and most people in crisis reach out to trusted individuals - colleagues, friends, service providers, and family members - before seeking professional help. In recognition of this, we are offering Recognize & Respond: Your Role in Suicide Prevention. This is an essential training that equips you with evidence-based skills to recognize warning signs, respond appropriately and confidently, and connect people to life-saving resources.
This training is designed for adults in any role—whether in business, healthcare, education, caregiving, or community settings—who want to be prepared to step in with confidence when it matters most.
In this session, you will learn how to:
Identify early warning signs that someone may be struggling.
Approach difficult conversations about suicide…
